Therapy by music
The dementia caused by a severe impairment of intellectual abilities, emotional disturbances and changes in personality, is supported by a number of reasons, such as the loss of nerve cells in the brain due to injuries to the head and metabolic disorders, or also by a tumor in the brain.
The are 2 hemispheres in human brain- one call the left hemisphere and the other is the right hemisphere. A large part of the brain damage is usually in a patient with dementia. Although the linguistic skills of a person be controlled exclusively by the left hemisphere of the brain, the music is seen by many parts of the brain instead of just a part of the brain, since the various elements of music such as rhythm, the altitude, and melody are all treated differently separately by the parties of the human brain. Consequently, it is consistent with other areas of health of the patients brain.
The music has been received and are of different stem cells of the brain and thus difficult denied people can react to the music. The music can be perceived and thus as a means of communication for people with dementia, their understanding of skills or the learning of languages is in serious danger. If all other forms of communication has not succeeded in creating an impact, the music, from the non-verbal stimulating properties, the tendency to get in the spirit of the patient and the quantity makes it possible to achieve certain social, emotional and cognitive connection. The symptoms such as anxiety and confusion among people with dementia can be reassured, including through the calming and relaxing effect of the music.
Awareness of the level of taste of the patient to this music and the memories with the music or the meaning of music is for the individual are some of the factors influencing the extent of the positive effects or positive impact of musical therapy. If a familiar music can lead to positive responses, such as the interception of the fingers and feet high, singing, rhythmic movement of the organs of the body with music, or a change of expression on the face, know not only the music can not itself into the brain in the first place. Therefore we can not find the positive effects on patients, if not the music plays the music during the sessions of therapy.
