To your heart health, always control salt consumption
High blood pressure that is not strictly controlled, other than some medicine for blood pressure, can also lower blood pressure with the way they consume salt diet. This was disclosed in a study published in the conference to-62 American Heart Association for Research Pressure Hypertension in Atlanta.
“Strict diet of salt is important for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure),” said Dr. Eduardo Pimenta from the Institute of cardiology Dante Pazzanese, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Pimenta and colleagues to measure the consequences of dietary salt for 24 hours with the tools to measure blood pressure. Activity is taken continuously for 24 hours on 13 adults treated because of hypertension. In the research “cross”, a strict diet of salt and will usually be for seven days and separated again during the two-week period as a “clean”, after the subject exchange group.
Patients drink average 23.6 drugs to lower blood pressure and have average blood pressure 147.9 containing 85.2 mm mercury (mmHg). Meanwhile, normal blood pressure is 140, which contains 90 mmHg.
According to the Pimenta and colleagues, the amount of sodium found in the urine for 24 hours of recorded declines during the normal salt diet compared with the strict dietary salt. More information is displayed, in the normal salt diet, blood pressure, which represents pressure when the heart contraction decreased 22.6 mmHg. Meanwhile, blood pressure below the limit when the heart is resting between beats in the lower 9.2 mmHg.
“We expect blood pressure can be reduced with the normal salt diet but the reduction is much greater than we expect,” said Pimenta.
The study also provides information that the strict dietary salt can impede the function of blood flow and cause the person holding fluid therapy in addition to the ureter. During the period of normal salt diet, a healthy decrease in the amount of body fluid can be seen.
Through this research, the research team to make the conclusion that it is very clear visible demonstration of the dangerous effects of dietary salt on the strict people with the disease of acute hypertension is also profits from the normal salt diet.
